About Us – Hopping Into Style

Lumogap started on a spring morning in 2024. That was when KimberlyRB—the founder—wondered, “What if a shirt could carry a feeling, a memory, maybe even an entire season?” The thought never left, and before long, there was a small workshop where those ideas could turn into real shirts. Lumogap didn’t go through stores or middlemen; everything is made here and sent straight to the person who will wear it. That way, the heart behind each piece stays close.
The workshop sits quietly at 1072 Osage Cir, Santa Fe, NM 87505, just about 35 square meters. Inside, four Juki industrial sewing machines hum side by side, an Epson SureColor digital printer catches the daylight by the window, and one corner is stacked with fabric rolls and neatly hung finished shirts. From unrolling the first yard of fabric, cutting the panels, printing the design, pressing, folding, to packing the box—it all happens right here. Being small makes it easier for Lumogap to shift gears quickly, especially if someone asks for a small change or something completely unique.
Main Products – T-Shirts & Sweatshirts
Most of Lumogap’s days are spent working on these two.
T-shirts are sewn from natural cotton weighing around 190–210 GSM—substantial enough to hold their shape, but still light and airy. The cotton comes from Robert Kaufman Fabrics in California, a supplier that’s been around long enough to know how to make fabric that feels good and keeps its color.
Sweatshirts are made from brushed fleece, about 330–340 GSM, from Monterey Mills in Wisconsin. Inside, the fleece feels soft and warm, but not heavy. The designs lean simple, but the colors and prints shift with the seasons so they stay fresh and easy to wear.
Before a new piece reaches the shop, it’s tested—sewn up, printed, and washed again and again, sometimes twenty times, just to see how it holds up. Each one goes out with care instructions so whoever wears it can keep it looking the way they like.
Custom Process – When You Want a Shirt That’s “Yours Alone”
Some people choose something straight off the rack. Others have a specific picture in their head. For those, Lumogap talks through the idea—colors, prints, little changes to the design, or even a fit made from scratch. It might be a favorite phrase or a family photo. Once there’s a clear picture, a mock-up is made and sent over so the person ordering can see it before it’s made for real.
Because the workshop is right next to the storage area, a simple printed design might be ready the next day, while a full custom fit usually takes two.
Production & Quality Control – Doing It Right from the Start
When fabric arrives, it’s rolled out on the cutting table. The weight is checked—cotton around 190–210 GSM, fleece over 330. The color is compared with the sample, and a small swatch is washed to see how it behaves. Only then does it move on to cutting.
The Juki and Brother machines run most of the day, sewing panels together with careful stitches so the shape stays true. Printing comes next—Lumogap’s Epson SureColor DTG printer lays the design straight onto the fabric, sharp and full of color. Each print is pressed so it settles into the fibers.
Before folding and packing, every shirt is looked over by hand: loose threads trimmed, measurements checked, the print matched against the design. If something’s off, it’s made right before it leaves the workshop.
Operations & Shipping
Once finished, orders go out through USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Standard delivery within the U.S. usually takes about five or six business days. A tracking link is sent before the package leaves so it can be followed along the way.
Lumogap is a team of six. Each person has a role—designing, sewing, printing, checking, talking with customers—but everyone jumps in wherever they’re needed. On busy days, the sewing machines and printer work at the same time, while someone is already folding and packing shirts hot off the press. The place can feel like a tiny production line, just without the noise and rush of a factory.
Messages and emails are usually answered within a day. Lumogap can be reached by phone, email, or live chat on the site from 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Saturday. The website is secured with SSL encryption, and payments can be made by Visa, Mastercard, or PayPal—simple, safe, and straightforward.
